Program

The conference will bring together scientists from all over the world for a six-day meeting. While there will be lectures from a distinguished group of invited speakers, the poster sessions and short presentations interspersed throughout the week are aimed at giving most of the participants the opportunity to present their work in an environment conductive to informal exchange of ideas.

The areas on which the conference focusses include:

Reactive Intermediates

Mechanisms of Catalysis

Mechanistic Bio-Organic Chemistry

Nanostructures and Organic Materials

Computational Chemistry

Each morning and evening there will be lectures of 45 minutes by invited speakers, each followed by a 15 minute discussion period, interspersed with contributed talks of 20 minutes followed by a 10 minute discussion. These will be selected from the submitted contributions such as to optimally complement the program.

On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons there will be poster sessions with different groups of posters discussed each afternoon.

In addition to the spontaneous exchanges, conferees may volunteer to organize or participate in informal discussion groups that are proposed and sponsered by participants and will be held in the afternoons before the poster sessions (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

On Wednesday afternoon, there will be an excursion, the goal of which will remain secret until it happens, followed by a dinner in a local restaurant.
