Organization
The program is integrated into a series of conferences which begun ad hoc, but which has evolved to a coherent series with the name, International Symposium on Reactive Intermediates and Unusual Molecules (ISRIUM), which occurs annually at various sites around the world. The Steering Committee has agreed that Proff. Chen and Bally should organize an ISRIUM at the CSF in Ascona for 2018.
There are ISRIUM local contacts in all major scientific communities worldwide. Previous venues for ISRIUM since 1995 were held at Honolulu (Hawaii), Prague (Czech Republic), Edinburgh (UK), Reykjavik (Iceland), Heron Island (Australia), Porquerolles (France), Nara (Japan), Hiroshima (Japan), Vienna (Austria), Szczryk (Poland), Lake Tahoe (USA), and Sorrento (Italy).
